Britannia PierBritannia Pier

The Britannia Pier at the northern end of Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile was built four years later than the Wellington Pier in 1858 and has had a very eventful history.

It has survived being cut in two by ships not once but twice and has had to be renovated four times following major fires. Today it is a key feature of the Great Yarmouth seafront, particularly at night and provides a wide range of family entertainment, with traditional end of pier theatre and funfair.

Britannia Pier has cafes and restaurants to cater for all tastes, with two latte night bars. The Pier Tavern opens from 10-4pm with a family room and karaoke and disco from 60s, 70s and 80s and more. Long John's nightclub for the young at heart plays up to date anthems or enjoy the fun of the fair at the end of the pier fairground.

The Britannia Pier Theatre plays host to a wide range of acts and shows from July to August.
