Attractions for Groups

Relax and enjoy the ride in Greater Yarmouth. The resort and wider Borough area are packed with a huge range of attractions, things to do and places to go whatever the weather for groups of all shapes and sizes. 

Outdoor attractions popular with groups on Great Yarmouth seafront include Merrivale Model Village with beautiful landscaped gardens, model railway, old penny museum and delicious tea room, and the Pleasure Beach, one of Britain's top tourist attractions, effortlessly combining modern high-tech rides with all the fun of the fair. There's another lovely tea room in the Pleasure Beach Gardens. You will also find crazy golf, adventure golf and pitch and putt all along the seafront.

Indoor attractions on the seafront include Yesterday's World complete with carousel and Victorian tea room, and the Sea Life Centre which now has penguins and small crocodiles as well as beautiful underwater walkways showing sealife off to its very best. The Wellington Pier has a super new ten-pin bowling alley and hhere's another bowling alley on Regent Road..

Great Yarmouth market is a favourite with coach groups on Wednesdays, and the town has some superb museums suitable for groups - the Time and Tide Museum of Great Yarmouth Life located in an old herring smoke house is a great place to start or explore the remains of shipwrecks with local arts and crafts at Great Yarmouth Potteries and Smoke House. Find about at Nelson at the Nelson Museum or explore the National Trust's Elizabethan House or English Heritage's Row Houses.

An afternoon or evening at the races can be a great way for groups to enjoy something a little bit different, Great Yarmouth Stadium has a super first floor restaurant from which greyhound racing and stock car racing can be enjoyed and a varierty of packages are available for groups at Great Yarmouth racecourse.

Just a short coach ride away in the beautiful village of Filby, a regular Anglia in Bloom competition winner, Thrigby Wildlife Gardens is a great day trip out where you can see leopards, tigers and monkeys.
