On the edge of Waveney Forest, Fritton and St Olaves form the outermost villages of Greater Yarmouth.
St. Olaves is a boating haven, with mooring and boat hire available, ideal for day boats. This pretty village is home to the St. Olaves Drainage Mill and the remains of a small Augustine priory with a wonderfully complete 14th Century brick-vaulted undercroft, both of which are open to the public to visit.
The small village of Fritton borders Fritton Lake, part of the Somerleyton Estate which straddles the Norfolk/Suffolk border. The lake is a beautiful privately owned waterway and day visitor attraction.
