Seafront

Seafront at night

Marine Parade is the vibrant focal point of Great Yarmouth's seafront, where hustle and bustle mixes with razzmatazz, where ice-cream cones and candy floss combine with sea and sand for the perfect seaside holiday.

Frequently called The Golden Mile, this wide beachside promenade features extra wide pavements so you can wander up and down as slowly or as quickly as you like, whilst admiring the sights and sounds of our vibrant seafront.

The new slow lane has been especially built for cyclists, the road train and the famous Great Yarmouth horse-drawn landaus to safely travel from north to south of the seafront and back again.

A stroll along Marine Parade passes Hollywood Cinema and Britannia Pier at the top, via crazy golf and the Marina Centre with indoor tropical pool to the Jetty and past Amazonia and the Sea Life Centre to Wellington Pier in the middle, before arriving at Merrrivale Model Village and The Pleasure Beach at the southern end. The strip buzzes with activity, from crazy golf to bingo, diners, attractions, cafés, shops, amusements, bars, tea-rooms, restaurants and gardens are all here to entertain you.

You'll find park benches and beach huts on the wide esplanade next to wide, sandy Central Beach where you can sit back and watch the world go by. Café areas spill out onto the esplanade for a bite to eat while looking out over the sea. On the beach, deck chairs, donkey rides and trips to see the seals are all on hand, for a traditional day or stay at the seaside.
