Fireworks at Great Yarmouth

A season of summer fireworks bursts into life over Great Yarmouth seafront tomorrow (Wednesday July 19) night.

The displays are a major draw for tourists, day trippers and locals alike during the main holiday season.

There is live entertainment on the Sealife Centre Gardens from 8pm, seafront attractions are open late and the fireworks begin at 10pm – with grandstand views from the Esplanade and piers.

The fireworks at Great Yarmouth and nearby Hemsby are funded by the Greater Yarmouth Tourism and Business Improvement Area as part of its drive to attract more tourists.

A survey for GYTABIA revealed that fireworks visitors provide a boost to business by also going to attractions, shops, pubs and eateries.

The Great Yarmouth displays are every Wednesday until August 30 and the Hemsby ones are on Tuesdays at 10pm until August 29.

GYTABIA also supports the fireworks at Gorleston Clifftop Festival on Sunday July 30th at 10pm.
