Shop ‘til you drop in Great Yarmouth's bustling town centre with a large open-air market as the focal point.
The Market Place is a lovely open space, with plenty of park benches where you can sit and watch the world go by. The market stalls are surrounded by all the usual high-street shops and department stores, including high street favourites Marks & Spencers, WHSmith, River Island, HSamual, Thorntons and Great Yarmouth's independent department store, Palmers.
A larger market takes place every Wednesday and Saturday year round, with an additional market visiting the town on Fridays in summer too.
The newly refurbished Market Gates shopping mall is home to Debenhams, New Look, Dorothy Perkins and Starbucks along with many other shops and cafés, and is very conveniently located for all local buses as well.
The Victoria Arcade, also newly refurbished, is the place to shop for unique boutiques and curios, while shops along King Street offer a cosmopolitan flavour. For traditional seaside goods, visit Regent Road as you head back to the seafront.
