Guided Heritage Walks

Guided Heritage Walks

If you'd like to find out more about the resort of Greater Yarmouth, there's no better place to start than on a guided heritage walk.

Our dedicated team of guides have an intricate knowledge of the town, its history and heritage and can unravel the stories of Great Yarmouth's forefathers.

Walks start regularly between May and October covering a range different topics. Click here to view our Guided Heritage Walks 2012 leaflet.

Find out more about our sea fishing industry on The Trawler Trail walk (new for 2012) or find out more about Great Yarmouth's unique Rows on the Rows, Fishwives and Body Snatcher's walk or join a walk to recover the remains of Great Yarmouth's Medieval town wall, much of which has been ‘recycled' into other accommodation and building work.

Most walks start from the Fishermen's Hospital gates at the Market Place or from the Tourist Information Centre on Marine Parade. Check the events calendar for an up to date schedule of walks planned for the coming months.
