Great Yarmouth's 1st Dance Festival
Visitors to Great Yarmouth were invited to get their dancing shoes on as the inaugural Great Yarmouth Dance Festival waltzed into town from Friday 2 July - Sunday 4 July 2010. it was one of the hottest weekends on record in the resort, but a superb festival of dance was enjoyed by all who participated.
Hosted by Philip Wylie of 'Holiday & Dance' and Christine of 'Going Dancing', at the Atlantis Arena Ballroom on Marine Parade, the long weekend delivered an exciting Modern & Latin programme together with popular Sequence dancing.
Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea Dances featured Learn and Improve sessions, aimed at dancers of all ages and abilities. The Dance and Cabaret nights on Friday and Sunday evening included exciting demonstrations by young dance champions and the Gala Dance Night on Saturday evening featured dancing for all with live music from the UK's foremost band for dancing events: Ross Mitchell, his band and singers.
