Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls
Great Yarmouth Festival of Bowls is the biggest outdoor open bowling event in the country, with more than 1800 participants competing in mens, ladies and mixed teams for singles, pairs and triples titles over four weeks of play at the Britannia Bowling Greens on the seafront.
Spectators can really enjoy the event too, with plenty of benches and seating around the arena from which to watch the day's play.
This 2011 Festival of Bowls has now come to an end and plans are already underway for next year's tournament which is scheduled to take place from Sunday 26 August to Friday 21 September 2012 and organised by the Great Yarmouth Bowls Committee, under the watchful eye of Tournament Manager Derek Webster, in association with the Tourism Division of Great Yarmouth Borough Council.
