Only a few miles north of Great Yarmouth lies Hemsby, Newport and Winterton-on-Sea.
All are not only great holiday spots by the sea, but have all managed to maintain their village character and are ideal touring bases for Great Yarmouth, the Norfolk Broads and surrounding countryside.
Hemsby & Newport
Hemsby is very much a self-contained seaside resort with magnificent sandy beaches, sheltered by sand dunes. It has a large array of entertainment for all with a choice of bars and discos, cabaret venues, bingo, children’s play areas, gift shops, food outlets, a funfair and amusements.
Newport adjoins its neighbour Hemsby and offers a splendid selection of holiday caravan and chalet parks with direct access to sandy beaches.
Winterton
Winterton-on-Sea thrives on its popularity as a holiday area for those wishing to get away from it all. The pale sandy beaches are served by a friendly beach café and backed by miles of dunes. The village church is steeped in heritage and claims to be the highest in Norfolk.
