Caister, California & Scratby

The Romans first settled in the area in the first century and now thousands of visitors settle each week to make Caister-on-Sea, Scratby and California their holiday home.

Caister Beach
The wide sandy beaches and superb selection of holiday accommodation makes these a perfect holiday location.

Caister
Caister-on-Sea village is the host community for popular holiday centres, caravan and chalet parks. The beaches are wide, sandy and unspoilt. The village has an array of shops and its own castle, built in the 1300s which also houses one on the best car collections in the country. Caister has its own unique privately run Volunteer Rescue Service, maintaining the lifeboat tradition. Yarmouth Stadium stages greyhound and stock car racing, which attracts large visitor numbers, who gather to place a bet and enjoy the action.

Scratby
California & Scratby
North of Caister-on-Sea is California and Scratby, both popular for their unique appeal. At California low sandy cliffs are topped with a wide selection of accommodation and amusements. A long track leads down to the beach at Scratby and many visitors travel to admire the large selection of antique clocks on sale at the Scratby Garden Centre.
