Details

After the amazing reaction to last year’s event, the Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever is back in Pier Gardens, Gorleston on Sea. It is a flashmob style dance event held at locations around the world recreating the music video for Kate Bush's 1978 song Wuthering Heights. It will be followed by a community picnic. Wear Red and be prepared to enjoy yourself!

The K T Bush Band made a surprise appearance last year, playing 3 songs. They were the ORIGINAL Kate Bush band and are joining us again. Vic and Brian were original members and will hold a Question and Answer session after they play.

You need no dance skills, its open to all age ranges, genders, physical abilities with only 200 places. Led by choreographer and aerialist Sue King, the event will raise funds for the Pavilion Theatre Restoration fund. There is an online video to practice to, with rehearsals before the dance is filmed. Please let us know if you need a seated or wheelchair space as these are limited.

Inspired by a 2013 event by performance group Shambush! in Brighton, which attempted to set an unofficial world record for the most people dressed as Kate Bush with hundreds attending. It has taken off worldwide, facilitated by Samantha Wareing in Berlin, creator of ‘The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever’ name in 2016. Gorleston On Sea was one 35 participants in 2019 alongside Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Brisbane, Boston and many more!

Register at Pier Gardens opposite the Pavilion Theatre dressed as Kate Bush at 12 noon on July 13th. Dance at 2pm. Community Picnic to commence around 2.30pm. Children under 16 must be accompanied and are the responsibility of the adult accompanying them. Tickets are a minimum donation of £3 per person and will include a red rose hairclip.

This event will be filmed and photographed so booking constitutes permission for this to happen.
