Art in the Minster


A varied selection of paintings and photographs by members of local art and photographic societies. Most of the works will be for sale. There will be an exhibition of prose and poems by members of the Quill Writing Group. In addition there will be an exhibition of art by pupils of local schools. There will be demonstrations of painting, drawing and other artistic activities.

Great Yarmouth Guild of Artists and Craftsmen was founded in 1949 and encourages all forms of painting to digital art and a range of 3-dimensional works, sculpture and crafts.

East Anglian Group of Marine Artists was formed
in 1979 by six artists who were inspired by a shared enthusiasm for depicting the marine scene. They now number 25 artists.

Eastern Contemporary Artists brings together professional and semi-professional artists working in both traditional and contemporary styles with a special interest in East Anglia.

Broadlanders Art Group consists of amateur artists producing works in oils, acrylic, water colour, pencil, charcoal and pastels. The group meets on Wednesday evenings at the Mill Lane Centre, Bradwell.

Great Yarmouth and District Photographic Society

was founded in 1948 and meets every Wednesday evening and welcomes new members whatever their interests or level of expertise.

Quill Writing Group was founded in 1999 and meets monthly to write and share poetry and prose.
