Details

Pleasurewood Chills makes a welcome return to Pleasurewood Hills this October half term and there's plenty of fun to be had. The park will be open from 20th to 28th October and you'll be able to enjoy all the usual rides, shows and attractions plus there will be some Halloween themed fun to look out for.

Sit back and enjoy the brand new show in the Castle Theatre and see if Woody Bear can save the day by tracking down the missing animal that has escaped from the Mad Professor’s bag. Featuring special effects and comedy, this show (which runs for approx. 20 minutes) can be enjoyed by the whole family.

If you love the show there will be time to meet some of the stars of the stage as they will join Woody Bear for a special Trick or Treat Halloween Parade. The colourful characters will make their way around the park, but watch out for the mischievous ones of the group who love to play tricks on people!

If your family are big fans of Halloween, dust off your fancy dress costume and wear it on your visit to enter the park’s fancy dress competition. Judging will take place at the Castle Theatre after the second show every day and prizes will be presented for the best costumes. Feeling creative? Then you can also try carving your very own pumpkin or making some slime to take home (small charge applies for both).

Face painters will also be on the park from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th October to create cute Halloween themed looks little ones will love wearing during their visit. Face painting is free but donations are being collected to raise money for the NSPCC.

Throughout the October half term Pleasurewood Hills will be open from 10am and 5pm. All of the usual rides, shows and attractions will be open so there will be plenty to pack in to your visit. The younger family members will have a fantastic time exploring the Heart Kid’s Zone with its rides designed for children around one metre tall, while the family friendly rides are the perfect introduction to the theme park world. And, if you prefer a more thrilling day out, there’s a choice of rides including Fireball, Cannonball Express and Wipeout – the region’s most extreme roller coaster.

Head to Main Street for some Western-themed fun with the Rootin’ Tootin’ Target Trail which will bring out your competitive spirit! The whole family can join in as you ride along the UV lit route and shoot at the laser targets placed around the track.

If the thought of rides turns your stomach, make sure you take a seat at the parrot and sea lion shows. Both are favourites of many visitors to the park and are packed with cute and cheeky characters the whole family are sure to fall in love with. You’ll be amazed by their performances and may even learn a thing or two about the animal stars of the shows!

Don’t forget you can also visit the latest addition to Pleasurewood Hills – Woody’s Cub House – an indoor soft play area and sensory room. The soft play area features plenty of places for little ones to climb around and explore, while the sensory room offers a relaxed and calming space for young babies and children with autism or emotional and behavioural difficulties. Woody’s Cub House will be open every day from 10am and entry is included in general park admission (please note there is a £3 charge for those under one metre tall who enter the park for free).
