Sonar survey equipment for imaging seabed features and for penetrating the sea floor have been in continuous production at Kongsberg GeoAcoustics' Great Yarmouth base since the 1980s. Ground-breaking systems such as GeoSwath, GeoChirp3D and PulSAR continue to lead the way in this field with a worldwide customer base, and since 2008 under the ownership of the renowned Norwegian technology company, Kongsberg Maritime. GeoAcoustics' systems are equally at home in lakes, rivers and inland waterways as they are in their traditional environments of hostile oceans and challenging oilfields.
