Horatio Herring, Lofty and Nelson

Horatio Herring and Mrs H
Horatio Herring arrived in Great Yarmouth in an unmarked fishing trawler in 2003 and offered his services as the mascot of the Maritime Festival. Joined in 2009 by Mrs H, the Horatio Twosome are available for weddings, christenings, bar mitzvahs and guest appearances - but strictly no water-based events!

Lofty the Lighthouse
Lofty joins us by kind permission of the Trinity Lighthouse Services and loves seeing all his friends in Great Yarmouth.

Admiral Lord Nelson
Our very own Admiral Lord Nelson, the greatest naval hero who frequently embarked and landed in Great Yarmouth, will grace the Great Yarmouth Maritime Festival with his presence.

David Bullock, the popular Norwich Town Crier will assist with the opening and closing ceremonies. David is familiar face at the Maritime Festival and has won that majority of Town Crier trophies around the UK over the years. He is currently the Archivist of the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers.
