Maritime crafts, demonstrations and exhibitors
ITBC

Situated in nearby Oulton Broad, the International Boat Building College is widely recognised for the quality of its graduates with at least 24 craft of varying designs being worked on all the time. Come along to their marquee and find out how you could train to be a boat builder.
Boat building has always been a really important part of life here in Great Yarmouth - have you seen the rafters in St. George's theatre? Do they remind you of anything?
The East Norfolk Militia

The Militia were formed to be the 'Home Guard' for the British Isles should there be an attack by foreign powers. Don't miss their show at the far south end of the site, there's bound to be some dastardly deeds and plenty of gun powder.
Performances can be seen at 11.45am, 1.30pm and 2.45pm on both days.
Be prepared to take part as they often look for willing volunteers!
3 Royal Anglian

Come and meet some of the team of 3 Royal Anglian to find out more about what they do and how you could join. Take a look at some of their weapons but don't worry - all the working parts will be removed.
Visit the airsoft tent and have a go at firing some airsoft weapons. Please note this activity is for ages 15 and over. safety glasses will be provided.
Great Yarmouth Town Hall

Located at the top of South Quay, Great Yarmouth's Victorian Town Hall is open for the Maritime Festival. Take the opportunity to go on a self-guided tour of this beautiful building, see moel boats, martiime art display or listen to a talk.
Jack Sparrow

Matt Harris returns as Jack Sparrow again this year.
Catch him as he wanders (or is that staggers) around the festival as he tries to avoid being captured by the Malitia.
Broads Beat

BBC Radio Norfolk

BBC Radio Norfolk are delighted to be a part of the Maritime Festival this year. Be sure to listen in to the breakfast show on Saturday & Sunday as they will be broadcasting this from the quay.
Although the show will be over when the festival opens for the day, their on-site roadshow vehicle will still be well worth a visit with talks from the RSPB about Little Terns and beach nesting birds.
Watch all sorts of demonstrations and see interesting exhibitors at the Maritime Festival
We're very lucky to have the International Boat Building College (IBTC) on our doorstep in Oulton Broad, where many master boat builders have learned their craft. Visit their marquee to be inspired by master carpentry and stunning woodwork.
