Exciting entertainment and nightlife in Greater Yarmouth

Whatever the time of day, afternoon or evening, entertainment is never far away in Greater Yarmouth.

Maybe you're looking for an afternoon matinée or an evening performance at the circus or the theatre, or perhaps you fancy watching a film at the cinema.

Entertainment - a fun night out in Great Yarmouth

The vibrant nightlife in Great Yarmouth includes traditional end of the pier seaside entertainment at The Britannia Pier Theatre. The Edwardian Gorleston Pavilion has a great programme of old time musical hall shows and variety entertainment from amateur dramatics to musicals. All sorts of performances in addition to the circus are hosted in the Hippodrome, where hypnotists and comedians, classical musicians and Shakespearian plays can be seen. St. George's Theatre also has a wide and varied programme of shows from dancing to comedy to music to plays. If you're after something more energetic for your evening or afternoon's entertainment, challenge friends and family to a game of ten-pin bowling at the end of the Wellington Pier overlooking the waves. Enjoy a game of pool or snooker on the seafront, have a thrilling evening at the greyhound track or watching the stock car racing. For horseracing with a difference, try Live Music Nights at the racecourse in August. Great Yarmouth also has two casinos and several bingo halls.

Enjoy spectacular fireworks displays in Hemsby on Tuesdays and in Great Yarmouth on Wednesdays in the school summer holidays. In both resorts, the attractions all open later than usual so you can play crazy golf by moonlight, make the most of the fun fair or the Pleasure Beach and admire the evening illuminations at the Model Village.

Relax on Sunday afternoons at the bandstand opposite the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston-on-Sea and enjoy a programme of music from local musicians from June to August.

If you've got plans to dance the night away head for the Ocean Rooms in Gorleston or Great Yarmouth's seafront where bright lights, music and a heady atmosphere will make sure you have a great night out. Greater Yarmouth nightlife includes a variety of nightclubs playing music for every taste and style, from disco music and pop anthems, to dance and R'n'B. You'll also find plenty of pubs with live music all year round.

You're sure to find great entertainment in Greater Yarmouth for everyone, whether you want to entertain the whole family or you're looking for an exciting nightlife.
