Things to do in Great Yarmouth over winter
Indoor Fun

From trampolining to huge ball pools, ten-pin bowling, quasar laser games and swimming pools, musuems, skating and racing, there's loads of fun to be had indoors over winter in Great Yarmouth.
Outdoor attractions

Wrap up warm and get out and about - visiting Great Yarmouth's attractions during winter is still great fun with outdoor heritage sites to explore, animal attractions to visit and greyhound and stock car racing to enjoy.
Walking in winter

On a crisp dry day, take in the beautiful scenery around Great Yarmouth, along the coastline and in the surrounding villages. A winter walk is a great way to let of some energy and build up an appetite for tea and cake or a pub meal out.
Winter - a great time for a short break
“There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.” said Alfred Wainwright.
Inappropriate clothing doesn't really matter if you're enjoying yourself indoors at one of the many attractions still open over winter in Great Yarmouth, but if you're planning a trip to the zoo at Thrigby, Fritton Owl Sanctuary or Redwings, then you'd best have a look at the forecast or one of our webcams before you step out, just in case.
If you're looking for somewhere for the kids to let off steam indoors over the school holidays or on a winter weekend, there are loads of options from indoor play centres to ten-pin bowling, quasar games and Jump Warehouse.
Indoor fun also includes Great Yarmouth Sea Life Centre, the award winning Time & Tide Museum and Jurassic Journey, the all-new dinosaur attraction on Great Yarmouth seafront.
If it's cold but dry, we heartily recommend wrapping up warm and going for a walk - there are loads of options to choose from including short walks, long walks, walks with a friendly pub or cosy tea room at the end, walks in the countryside or walks along the beach.
If you haven't got any kids to think about, then please yourselves. Perhaps a trip to the golf course or the driving range, a relaxing day out at the spa, some retail therapy, a trip to the races or the casino might be more in order.
Please note that some attractions are open daily over winter (most are not usually open on Christmas Day) and some are only open at weekends and in the school holidays, so do check their opening information carefully before you set out.
Why not make a weekend of it and book somewhere to stay? Or perhaps you could plan a Twixmas break - going away for a few days after Christmas and before the New Year celebrations is becoming a really popular thing to do.
Get your coat on and head out the door - there's so much to do, events to enjoy and attractions to visit in Great Yarmouth this winter.
