Guided Tour of Gorleston Pavilion Theatre

Guided Tour of Gorleston Pavilion Theatre

Guided Tour of Gorleston Pavilion Theatre

The Pavilion is an original Edwardian building opened in 1901 and is a shining example of the famed architecture of the day. Enjoy a guided tour in the backstage spaces not open to the public and take in the history of this beautiful seaside gem.

Our guided tours are currently exclusively held for friends of the Theatre but we are throwing open our doors for the Heritage Open Day festival to everyone who wants to come and have a look around this original Edwardian building.

You'll be guided around the building and shown spaces that have important historical significance to the area and will be talked through how the building has survived the sands of time and seen many different uses over the years.

Finish the tour with a spectacular view of the historical gardens opposite the theatre and the golden sands of Gorleston beach stretching for as far as the eye can see. This is certainly a treat you won't want to miss!

Max 20 people per tour/session. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes up to an hour The Pavilion Theatre is a live operational theatre and is in the process of applying for grants to refurbish and restore the building in time for it's 125th anniversary in 2026. Any donations will be gratefully received to help us continue our work!
